CHURCH LIFE

Glow Kids takes place every Sunday during the 10.30am and 11.15 am service. .
Toddler Groups: Jellytots takes place at Riviera Life church every Friday 10am-12pm in term-time only whilst Toddler Roc takes place at Riviera Life ROC Centre every Monday 10am -12pm during term-time.
Cinema ROC is the showing of a contemporary film on a big screen served with complimentary drink and popcorn. It takes place every month on a Saturday afternoon at Riviera Life Roc Centre for children aged under 11 years.

Unite is for young people aged 11- 17 years and takes place at Riviera Life ROC centre in Chelston at 7.30-9pm every Friday during term time. Young people pay £1 to enjoy a great night of fun and games, friendship, food and discussion about how the Christian faith relates to common and contemporary issues in our world
Pursue takes place every Sunday during the 10:30am and 11:15am services and aims to help young people aged 11-17 on their discipleship journey and in developing their relationship with God.

The “Young Adults” (YA) group meet to enhance friendship and support during young adulthood (18-30s) which is a crucial time of life when individuals are transitioning from childhood to adulthood and when significant life decisions are made. The YA group meets on the third Sunday of every month for lunch with other social events throughout the year, as well as attending together national YA conferences and engaging with other young adults in neighbouring churches.

Life Groups are small groups (up to 15 people) of RLC family members which take place the first and third week in the month during school term-time usually in people’s homes which aim to provide:
Friendship: developing positive and supportive fun-filled relationships with like-minded people.
Discipleship: application of Bible teaching by group discussion.
Pastoral Care: practical, emotional and spiritual care and support.

Worship plays a significant part of our church services with the worship team leading the congregation in singing lively and contemporary songs for the purpose of worshipping God with authenticity and passion. However, we believe that worship is more than singing a song, that it is a lifestyle and therefore we live God–centred lives with enthusiasm, extravagance and expectation.

There are many opportunities for the over 50s to engage and serve in the life of the church on a Sunday and throughout the week. A specific Over 50s group meets together every last Tuesday of the month at “Oasis” lunchtime club for friendship, encouragement and inspiration. In addition, there is an over 50s social club at Riviera Life Roc Centre every Wednesday 2-4pm.

We are committed to seeing our local community impacted by the love of Jesus.  Actively encouraging and planning personal mission, corporate mission and evangelism in a community setting.

Riviera Life Church Corona Virus Update

Dear Church Family

We are writing to you all in response to the information and instructions received from Government and Public Health England regarding Covid 19. We have formulated the following plan with regards to how we will operate as a church with our priority being to care for our church family as well as support the vulnerable within our community at this time.

• Public church gatherings will cease so no Sunday services will take place

• Small groups including life groups will cease, this includes Alpha, Oasis, toddler groups and all activities at the ROC centre including youth group

• The Storehouse and Babybank will continue to operate as these are vital services within our community. Great care will be taken to reduce the risk of spread of coronavirus during these activities by changing the processes and collections.

• Website and Social media – Facebook & Twitter: This week we have launched our new website www.rivieralife.co.uk It contains updates with regard to Covid 19 as well as lots of resources to help you through this difficult time. We are producing bespoke Sunday Services with worship and a devotion which will be available every Sunday morning which you will be able to access through the Website and FacebookRLC telephone numbers: 01803 291156 & 07486402493 (emergencies)

We are praying for your health and God’s provision during this time and we will continue to update you as the situation in our nation evolves.

Ian and Jackie Williams
